Examination Process

Clare conducts a systematic forensic examination involving both macroscopic and microscopic analysis of the questioned handwriting/signatures against known samples provided by the client.

Clare uses specialised tools and techniques, including a high-powered microscope, various lighting instruments, and transparent overlays, to assess critical handwriting features.

Clare’s opinion adheres to the Scientific Association of Forensic Examiners (SAFE) scale of probability, which ranges from conclusive identification (‘did write’) to conclusive elimination (‘did not write’), encompassing all intermediate levels; probability, strong probability, and a determination of ‘inconclusive’.
